About the Author 

Sallie Vandagrift is a writer of fiction and creative nonfiction. She’s served on the editorial team at Wipf and Stock Publishers, was an assistant editor and publicist at Slant Books, and is the managing editor at the Pacific Northwest hybrid publishing company, Luminare Press.

Sallie has also coordinated the Wordcrafters Writers in the Schools program, placing authors in teaching residencies in Oregon high schools, and she’s taught creative writing to students ranging from eight years old to eighty. She is currently working on a novel set in Astoria, Oregon.
